I sewed this on navy cotton/poly blend fabric. Navy because that is the color of the artwork and I like it. It sews perfectly when using the same materials and preparation that I used.
My guy friends have already asked for one of these on a shirt. It’s a novel conversation starter design. I’m trying to decide what to do with my sew-out. I want to make a small zipper bag for my purse using the Abstract Fish, but it needs something on the opposite side. This may be it. It’s the same size.
It’s a light weight design on a stabilized fabric. Therefore, I think it would be perfect in a frame as well. 5×7 is a standard size frame but one size up and a mat would be better. I find Hobby Lobby to be the best place for frames, in choices and skilled people to frame it for you. If you buy the frame there they do not charge for framing it for you. You will have to pay for a mat and frame though.
