This week Dee sewed the design on water soluble stabilizer for free-standing lace.
This started out as a solid white cottage design. I was thinking about Christmas at the time. I thought it would be nice on a tree or in a window. After it finished sewing and washed out ,even though it was beautiful, I still wanted it to have color. Specifically flowers and vines. Hence the addition of the yellow windows and botanica.
As I was digitizing these designs my husband walks in and saw them. He wanted them to be lace. So I made
them lace.

This week Dee sewed the design on tan fabric with 1 layer of ShirTailor fused to the back of the fabric and one layer of mid weight tear away under that. Isn’t is beautiful?
Like my other Lacy Heart designs, there are hidden hearts within the design. I picked out this one to emphasize. I made it a separate color stop so you can sew it any color you want or keep it the same color as the rest of the ornament.
Making Lace? Stitch it right the first time. Always keep a spool each of white Wonderfil Invisafil 100wt on hand to fill those bobbins and up your embroidery game.
