Why must I sign up for your website when I’m already a member?
Let’s not confuse being a member of my email list or groups and having an account with my new shopping cart. The newsletter and groups are the same as they have been.
Signing up for the website is actually creating an account with my shopping cart. This is the first shopping cart we have had of our own. You can look around the site without an account. However, if you want to put something in the cart and check out you must create an account. That goes for freebies as well as for sale items.
The new shopping cart will keep track of your orders from now on. A feature many of you have asked for. Some of the other features you asked for are also possible within the new shopping cart are:
* Log into your account and see your orders.
* Download directly from the site – no more emails with download links.
* Easily contact me directly with an online contact form
* Search embroidery designs by category
* Click on ‘shop’ and sort designs by newest or prices
* Download freebies directly from the web site.
* And more
Why can’t I reset my password?
If you are not receiving a reply to your request for a password reset, it may be because you do not currently have an account with us. The most immediate course of action is to navigate to the My account page, scroll to the bottom of the screen and enter in your account information – username, email address and password. That’s it!
Once you have entered your new credentials, you are automatically logged into the system. Just remember to record your password or you’ll need to go to the Lost password page to have an email request issued to you to reset your password.
Why are my zip files empty after I download them?
While I have been at this gig since 2001, this is a brand-spanking new site. As such, we are an unknown commodity to the internet security world, even though we comply with all of the requisite security protocols.
The security software that you run on you PC may be stripping away the content of the zip files or merely not allowing you to access them. You may need to include LaurasSewingStudio.today to your list of approved/safe sites to address this issue.
You may be prompted by your security software to answer whether your trust this site. If you answer yes, then that will typically resolve the issue, placing us in your list of approved/safe sites. After which, you should be able to go back and download your purchases without incident.
Why is there a limit on the number of times I can download my designs?
Since the new shopping cart requires us to manage all of my website resources – including bandwidth consumption – I had to place a cap on the initial amount of occurrences for customer downloads – helping me to keep down overhead costs.
However, your purchase history is still in the system and your purchases can be downloaded at any time in the future. But a limit in the number of times you can download is still there. If you need additional downloads shoot me an email.
Why is there a limit on the number of days I can download my designs?
There is no longer a limit on the number of days to download your orders. They will stay in your purchase history for you to download anytime you log in.
