Kathy embroidered all the designs on a 90″x90″ piece of cotton sateen.

Kathy writes, “People ask me all the time if I embroidered the flowers separately and then attached them to the quilt top. But I didn’t.”

“Anywhere we show this quilt, people are really fascinated by the technique and quality of the embroidery designs!”

“One of the things we worried about with the quilt was that when Sandi (the quilter) washed it to get out the blue pen markings (and she had to do this several times), we were worried that the appliqué fabric would pull away from the satin stitching, but it didn’t. Not anywhere! We were pretty happy about that. You did a beautiful job digitizing those flowers!”

Thanks so much Judy and Sandi for sharing your talents with us! You go, girls!
