Ear Warmers for Men and Women – Adult Sizes

My ears get chilly just sitting at my computer especially with the air cleaner on. We keep the house a bit chilly as well. I enjoy wearing these in the house as well as outside when it is cold.

Hubby wanted one to wear under his biking helmet – he is an avid biker.  His is the olive green sample.

Having a BAD HAIR DAY? Slip one of these on.

I selected natural fiber fabrics and cotton batting inside these to make them warm.

Once you have your supplies together, the ear warmers are quick projects to make. They make great gifts as well.

These are ‘puffy’ and don’t smash the hair on top of your head.

Sewing Machine LED Lighting

I wish I had her hair.

What a godsend! The addition of these lights is an amazing addition to your machine and sewing pleasure. To experience it is to believe it!

If your machine doesn’t have LED lights under the head  or not enough of them, you can easily add them with this kit. I endorse this product because I have it and it has greatly improved my visual acuity while sewing. I can clearly see what is going on on the right side of the needle.

As I have gotten older I found it more and more difficult to see clearly what I was sewing under the head of the machine. My hubby purchased one of these kits for me.

Queen of New York – My 26-Inch New York Beauty Dress Project

I saw a red dress on-line this style with a huge Mandela printed on it. “What a great idea”, I thought.

At 26 inches across, the New York Beauty design was the natural choice – a generally round design and made the HNQ (Hoop N’ Quilt) method – it couldn’t be simpler or less risky to put onto my dress.

So, I went about zig zag sewing the NY Beauty pieces together creating this great big appliqué. I was afraid the extra fabric associated with an appliqué this large would be too heavy on the side of this light weight cotton gauze dress. Using wss (water-soluble stabilizer), the appliqué turned out not to be so heavy after all and draped nicely.

Working from my ironing board I pinned, and then hand-basted the appliqué to the dress, working from the center of the design out towards the points.

Lacy Heart Gifts Designs

Glorious Hearts Gifts

Lacy Heart Gifts are another in the series Lacy Hearts.

Lacy Hearts Gifts 6×10 Design

I made this purse out of black pin-wale corduroy from my stash. The lining is a surprise gift of fabric from my friend Karen. I used a two way zipping zipper in the top of the purse and two neckline zippers for the 2 front pockets. The pockets on the backside and inside do not require zippers.

I used the largest gift embroidery design on the purse.

Golden Snowflakes

Yes – more snowflakes!

I couldn’t resist this gorgeous artwork. I immediately had in mine to sew them with gold metallic thread on a white knit top.

If you need a quick what to wear to a (perhaps unexpected) get together for the holidays this will do it for you. A top with fancy pants or skirt and you are ready to go. My top is a simple cotton Walmart top. It is short sleeved but then we get very little cold weather in Houston. You probably have an un-decorated top in your closet to adorn with one of these arrangements or just one or two singles.
