These are ‘Collectible’ designs I probably should post once a month. But I plan to post one every 2-3 weeks.

For years I have been searching for dog artwork that is generic and is not childish or cartoonish. Because there are so many breeds it is impossible for me to digitize each one. Then I ran across this artwork. I love each and every one of these 12 dogs. Each dog is generic enough to be suitable for several similar breeds. I ran the artwork by my doggie loving friend Karen and her husband Stephen. They immediately said they loved them all. I knew then it was a go.

What makes a Sunbonnet Sam even better?
Frogs! (and a fly)
Or so my hubby said…repeatedly. I was going to have him holding a bouquet of flowers but the whining got too intense and I relented. Sigh. However, I even added a fly! And with that I introduce Susie’s beau, Sammy.
Sammy sports the same wing needle stitch work as Susie, in his hat and shirt, and in the sewout above I used the same pastel tones as I used when sewing Susie.
This sew out will be part of a quilted project…so stay tuned!
My husband is an avid biker. I enjoy it in cooler weather but not a regular biker. We have always talked about getting a tandem bike. We learned in our biking together on separate bikes that we can’t hear each other talking, I can’t keep up with him, and he doesn’t get any exercise when biking with me.

I’ve been holding onto this artwork for a long time but I didn’t think anyone would be interested in embroidery cottages. I decided to start making these anyway. I love them myself and am anxious to make projects with them. I have so many projects in mind for them.
I created several hand look stitches for sewing onto heavier fabrics like fleece and wool, but incorporated them into these sew outs as well for truly original designs. These sew outs I used regular quilting cotton fabrics as well. They are full of details. I can’t stop looking at them!
There are 3 appliques in these designs – house, roof, and dormer.
The 5×6 design I made in pink and green
The 6×8 design I made in cream and brown
The four inch design should be available early next week.
Reading posts with friends on Facebook about how much drama occurs in holiday get togethers gave me the idea to make this design. I wasn’t sure it was a good idea at the time but friends chimed in telling me to make it, ‘it is necessary’.
I made this quilt for my friend Paula to display wherever and whenever she deems necessary.
