My Quick Conversion Method
With every collection I post Design Details in millimeters because it is best to know that information about your embroidery hoops.
Why? Because often times hoops are listed as certain sizes in inches when actually they are not quite that large.
To be safe my general rule is 25 mm = 1 inch. (Although my Hubby says that to be precise it’s 25.4 mm = 1 inch…smartypants!)
I know this is not exactly accurate but close. It is what I mentally use to keep designs fitting the various hoop sizes.
Such as:
- 100 x 100 mm = 4 x 4 inches
- 125 x 175 mm = 5 x 7 inches
- 150 x 250 mm = 6 x 10 inches
- 200 x 200 mm = 8 x 8 inches
- And so on
Find out the sizes of your hoops in mm. Remember it so you are buying designs that will fit them.
